16th Street Fishing Pier, 1957, Giclee Print

16th Street Fishing Pier, 1957, Giclee Print

$55.00

In 1957, my dad, Walter Pontbriand, photographed this image and developed it. I made a painting of it. I always wondered why there were crutches on the pier. It wasn’t until I began drawing in the image that I noticed the third man on the right has his pant leg pinned to his hip. He was a Korean Vet. There is also a kid playing in the crab basket.

12 x 18 Giclee print.
