The Love of Art

Ever since I was a child, I have been interested in art. When I was very young, my great uncle would visit and show us slides from the Vatican and in particular, the slides of the Sistine were a thing of wonder to me. No Disney film captured my interest the way the panels of that ceiling or the alter did. In honor of Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni, I painted two murals from his ceiling. One of them is in my studio and keeps me motivated. The images make me happy and to me, if I can make my surroundings beautiful and calming, I would like to offer others the same opportunity.                             

I have been drawing and painting ever since I could hold a crayon. Art is something that has gotten me though some difficult times in life. We all have our ups and downs, it is a given. But having art in my life, brightens my spirit and brings me joy.
